Part-Time Project Coordinator for Da’watul Islam’s Catalyst Leadership Programme

£24,000 per annum (pro rata based on 3 days a week)

The position

We are looking for a dynamic, highly relational and experienced person to lead on Da’watul Islam UK and Eire’s Catalyst Leadership Programme.

The Project Coordinator will outreach, engage, coordinate, monitor and report back to staff meetings, on the achievements of this programme.

Working as part of the Project Office, the Coordinator will supervise and support volunteers, partner organisations, and stakeholders including 15 voluntary Catalyst Community Volunteers by assessing, informing and supporting community members joining a programme of training workshops, grass-root Listening Campaigns followed by outreach to speak at school assemblies, community walk/march, inter-faith luncheon and community venues to raise awareness about Hate Crime and to help create better community relations.

Full Time Graphic and Digital Creative Officer

Salary: £22,000 – £25,000 depending on experience.

Dawatul Islam has an exciting opportunity for a skilled and creative Graphic Designer / Web Designer to join our Project Office Team. The post holder will work on a range of projects as we grow our Charity– working on web, print and branding related design projects. There is also the opportunity to work on wider marketing campaigns. We are looking to take someone full-time.

Part Time Women’s Development Worker

Salary: £19,000 - £23,000 per annum (pro rata based on 2.5 days a week).

(Will be required to work flexible hours to accommodate programmes and activities that may take place on weekends and evenings).

The position

We are looking for a dynamic and experienced person to lead on the development of our services and activities for women. This is an exciting time to join Darul Ummah to initiate and shape the development of a women’s hub which will cater for different needs of Muslim women living locally and throughout Greater London.

The person would have experience of working with Muslim women from diverse backgrounds and be capable of working with people of all ages and abilities. In addition, the person will need to have experience of working in either the voluntary, community, faith, or the public sector, and be passionate about developing people; understand women’s needs and will be working to develop services to cater for these needs.

The post holder will provide women with advice and support of a personal nature, promoting health, welfare and education. Due to religious beliefs of the Muslim women accessing services, and in order to provide services effectively, the post holder must be female. Therefore, due to the nature of the role, this post is restricted to female applicants only under the Equality Act.
